Saurosuchus was a large predator that grew to 23 – 26 feet long and weighed around 500 kilograms. It had large powerful jaws that would have tremendous bite force. Its legs were short and stubby and it probably could not run very fast. It had thick osteoderms on its back that could have provided some form of protection.
